The Mist

Do you like movies that mess with your emotions? Ones you can really connect with. How about horror/thriller/SciFi?

Well this movie has got to be the best movie with playing on peoples emotions that iv ever seen, it is extremely well made in my opinion. I highly suggest EVERYONE watch it ahha :D

Its called The Mist, and its actually a novel written by Steven King turned movie. Id love to read the book one day, but im afraid it'll freak me out way to much (i don't do to well with horror >.>)

Id love to talk to you more about it, but they'll just spoil it for you

WCE nab cup grandfinal

So as most people know I am an avid footy chick, die hard west coast eagles supporter and im so glad the season is back on. Anyways my team WCE got into the Nab cup finals (a pre season round robbin) And even though it was a crap game all round, umpiring was crap, we played pretty damn crappy to, it was still good to watch the game. Leading up to this game i though it would be kool I try some WCE inspired make up, in which, it didn't turn out very nice, but here it is anyways.

Colour Stripes

After being sick all weekend and looking like a zombie, I decided to take a break from my assignments and try out a new look. I attempted to have a star at the edge of my eyeshadow, but it epically failed ahha but I loved how the colours turned out and I will most defiantly try this look again just with a different mix of colours ^.^

Dye ALL the Hair

So im finally getting around to making a post about my new hair colour and here it is ^.^

It was quite a tough choice to choose between staying blonde on top or dying my whole head, eventually I just said screw it, ill dye it all this time. At first i didn't really like it, it was nice for a change but i don't think dark colours suit my skin tone and eyes at all.

About an hour after I had dyed it

After a few days I went and lightened it up around my face and put some more pink highlights through

 I actually really like the colour it is today, which I need to wash my hair but the oil in it makes the colours metallic and look epic!

Draw With Me

I just wanted to share this video with you's, its one of my all time favourites, found it many years ago. Its an absolutely adorable short animation created by Mike Inel. His work still amazes me even though I have lost quite a lot of my interest in anime now days. I think its his use of colour that captures my attention most. KONY 2012

Im not normally big for this kind of thing, i don't like going through charities etc because tbh you never really know where your money is going. My family personally donates and sponcers a family in Indonesia who we have become close friends with, recently we brought there oldest daughter over to Australia to live with us for 2 months for a holiday so she can experience Perth for herself and how we live. We also donate to orphanages with our old stuff and other supplies in Bali, because we can give it straight to the people who need it and so forth. (just wanted to let you guys know that so you don't think im a complete tight ass when i say i don't support charities and such >.<)

Back to the topic, KONY 2012. This video is amazing but im sad to say this is the first time I have heard of it, but id like to play my part in spreading the word, and I will defiantly be attending the on April 20 here in Perth. I hope this video inspires you as well to reach out and help to play your part

 

Title undecided

 Time for another post! Horrah >.>

So im trying to get back into drawing on a more regual bases instead of just for assignments since i had to drop my illustration electives, and ever since playing LOL iv been really intrigued with the character art for Annie and her bear Tibbers. I also have a drawing assignment in which im working on that has to do with 6+ stages of something morphing from one object to another, and for mine I chose a girl and her bear changing into a creepy tree and the bear into a balloon. I'm actually pretty happy on how its turning out, but that's for another blog session. 

So this was my first character concept (i guess you could put it) where i was working out what i wanted the initial idea of the morphing to be based off. Then yesterday i decided i should blow the picture up with my scanner and put to use my many collection of copic markers. 

Below are the stages of my work being developed ^.^ 

I have decided to from here, to shrink it back down to A4 and scan it in to photoshop so I can digitally edit it further.

I have also decided to make a series of these girls and their bears as my own personal project, if for nothing else but for my own creativity. 

Unfortunately I'm stuck on a name for the series (thinking something along the lines of 'defender bears' or childhood something...) , so any suggestions would be muchly appreciated :)

X Project

Hey all, iv actually just returned to an empty house so thought I should hit up the blogging! 

Went to the movies tonight and saw 'X Project', and omg, it was awesome. I highly suggest you go see it (although, if you know me, you'll know I like most things so... my judgement on stuff is usually not something to take to heart if your quite a judgmental person ahha) 

If you liked the hangover, then you'll love this, especially if your wanting more of a teen flick, younger crowd so you can relate better. 

The move is pretty simple,  kid throws a house party, party then gets a 'little' (ahaha) out of control, then you await and watch the events unfold in eagerness. Although, the only downside is that its camcorder based, so if you get motion sickness, what out, but its no where near as bad as say cloverfield, that movie gave even me motion sickness >.<

So that concludes tonight's experience
